SCP-999 is a sentient, gelatinous orange slime anomaly kept in Foundation custody that can induce overwhelming euphoria and happiness in those it comes into contact with. Its touch can cure mental trauma and disorders, and it has even temporarily pacified hostile entities like SCP-682. However, SCP-999 was possibly created to defeat its father, the Scarlet King, and prevent the end of the world. Despite its cheerful nature, SCP-999 is plagued by madness and inner voices that long to be transferred to others. It is largely benign but must be contained securely by the Foundation at all times.
