SCP-173 is a hostile and animate concrete statue known as “The Sculpture” that is held captive by the SCP Foundation. It is the first SCP anomaly contained by the Foundation and the origin of the SCP mythos. SCP-173 cannot move when directly viewed, but will attack and kill any living thing near it by snapping necks once line of sight is broken. It is extremely dangerous and must be kept locked in a container at all times under strict procedures. SCP-173 is also known as one of the main antagonists in the game SCP Containment Breach.
